Diagnostic Lead
Typical Accountabilities:
- Ensure goals and objectives are met or exceeded within the oncology area at a national level
- Develop a strategy to ensure the adoption of diagnostic testing with defined metrics for success.
- Identify and develop relationships with scientific experts: Laboratory decision makers, Anatomical Pathologists and Molecular Pathologists, and other health care professionals
- Share appropriate educational information on diagnostics to the clinical Laboratories and clinical HCPs
- Educate on the need for diagnostic quality assurance (QA) programs
- Identify barriers to testing through partnerships with diagnostic companies, lab networks, and Health Care Professionals (HCPs).
- Develop strategies to support brand plan and educate on appropriate testing
- Inspires ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement within the entire team by regularly communicating AZ's vision, business objectives, performance outcomes, and future action steps.
- Develops people and the organization by investing in long-term development of others through mentoring, coaching, and continuous feedback.
- Collaborating with customers and sales executives in the field to help shape customer perceptions of AZ and enhance the brand portfolio.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in life science, at least 5 years pharmaceutical industry working experience in medical affairs/Diagnostic function
- Thorough knowledge and experience within the area of field medical liaisons or advisors
- Ability to manage incoming insights or requests in a timely manner and take action when appropriate
Desirable:
- Advanced Degree in life science (Master, PhD, MD)
- Connections in the local medical community
- People management or coaching experience in medical affairs
